Our Nursery. Our Family. Our Community

At Little Workshop Day Nursery, we cater to children from three months to five years. We offer flexible sessions to suit your needs.

We offer fully funded places for both 15 hour and 30-hour government funding.

We have a large ground floor room which includes a layout that supports every aspect of play and development. We have a lovely and spacious home corner that was built specifically to get those little imaginative minds flowing. We have a separate specially designed sensory room which combines a range of stimuli to help children engage and stimulate their senses. These can include lights, sounds, colours and aromas all within a safe environment that allows the child to explore safely.

We have a well-designed enclosed outdoor play area, where children can ride their bikes along the tracks or make some music with our built-in musical instruments.

Our practitioners are qualified Early Years Educators who are passionate about the development of young children.

Our Values.

‘The three R’s’

The Responsible learner is a learner who feels safe and secure to make appropriate decisions for themselves.
The Resilient learner is a learner who can withstand and bounce back in everyday challenging situations
The respectful learner is a learner who can listen to their peers and be considerate of other peoples interests.

Our Mission

Here at Little Workshop Day Nursery, we aim to provide an exciting, welcoming  and safe environment which allows your child to thrive and gain skills they need to continue comfortably onto the next step of their journey.

We believe it is important for children to become responsible, resilient and respectful learners. These are all qualities and values we aim to embed in our children during their time here at Little Workshop day Nursery.

Our Practice

When starting with us, your child will be given settling sessions where we aim to gather as much information as possible about your child’s wants, needs and interests.

Staff review each child’s development through observations and termly reports as this will allow us practitioners to be able to monitor and showcase the good progress from the child’s starting points. We use the EYFS framework and Development Matters to support the next steps for the children.

About Afsana (Owner)

‘After studying at College, I gained my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. I then progressed on to working in a Private Day Nursery where I worked for several years and in various senior roles.
After having advanced my knowledge in the EYFS, I wanted to develop a greater understanding of the National Curriculum. I decided to take my career from day care and into Primary Education, where I achieved my BA (Hons).
I hold a Full Paediatric First Aid Qualification, and I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the setting. Throughout my career I have also attended many varied training courses regarding children’s health, development and wellbeing.
I am thrilled to go on this journey with the children of Little Workshop Day Nursery and look forward to welcoming  new families in to our care!’
