Flexible Funded Childcare
At Little Workshop Day Nursery, we cater to children from 2 months-5 years. We offer flexible sessions to suit your needs.
Little Workshop Day Nursey is open 51 weeks in the year and we close for Bank holidays. We offer fully funded places for both 15-hour and 30-hour government funding. Funding can be taken as term-time only or as a stretched offer, allowing hours to be spread evenly across the year for greater flexibility.
Philosophy & Mission
Our practitioners are qualified Early Years Educators who are passionate about the development of young children. All of our staff have been trained in Paediatric First Aid and have attended all relevant safeguarding training. We support and promote staff member’s Continual professional development to provide the best care and teaching for your children.
Our Pre-School
We have a large ground floor room in our Pre-school room which includes a layout that supports every aspect of play and development. We have a lovely and spacious home corner that was built specifically to get those little imaginative minds flowing. We have a separate specially designed sensory room which combines a range of stimuli to help children engage and stimulate their senses. These can include lights, sounds, colours and aromas all within a safe environment that allows the child to explore safely.
We have a well-designed enclosed outdoor play area, where children can ride their bikes along the tracks, make some music with our built-in musical instruments or just simply get on with exploring and playing with the wide range of activities that are on offer.
Our Baby and Toddler Room
Our Baby Room is a calm, nurturing space designed especially for our youngest children. The room is soft, safe and thoughtfully arranged to support early development. Babies enjoy age-appropriate toys, tummy-time areas, and gentle sensory experiences that encourage exploration and motor skills. Our practitioners focus on building strong bonds, following each baby’s individual routine for feeding, sleeping and play.
The Toddler Room is bright, engaging and full of opportunities for learning through play. Children are encouraged to explore, gain independence, and develop social skills in a fun and structured environment. activities include creative play, music and movement, early language development and hands on learning experiences that support curiosity and confidence as toddlers grow.
Our Sensory Room
The Sensory Room is a dedicated space designed to stimulate and soothe the senses. With soft lighting, textured surfaces, calming sounds and interactive sensory equipment, the room supports emotional regulation, sensory development and relaxation.
Our Sleep Room
Our separate sleep room provides a quiet, comfortable space where babies can rest peacefully in their cot. The room is softly lit and peaceful with arrangements that support safe and restful sleep. We follow each child’s personal sleep routine to ensure they feel secure, relaxed and well cared for.<
